Previous Projects - Buffel

The project started in 2009, and in 2010, deep in South Africa in a remote town the operation started with the code name ‘SAFE THE BUFFEL’. The South African Forces Living History Group had the opportunity to acquire two 1980’s ex-military South African Defence Force BUFFEL mine protected armoured personnel carriers destined for the scrap yard. After numerous trips to South Africa and a mountain of paperwork, finally in 2013 the two BUFFEL’s left South Africa for the long journey to the United Kingdom to be fully restored back to their former glory. Once fully restored, they will attend living history shows, military vehicle shows and memorial days for historical and education purposes. A+S will carry out the the vehicle restoration.

This ongoing project is spilt up into sections so that you can follow it's working progress.
